How Do We Grow? 1. Physically more OR 2. Intellectually more? OR 3. Both at the same time?

Physical ability is inherent while intellectual capability is acquired. I think growing up physically and intellectually are two entirely different things. Physical strength deals with the body, referring to increase in height, weight and other changes in the body; whereas intellectual capability deals with the brain and refers to a person’s psychological growth. It is important to possess both physical and intellectual strength to grow up into a fit human being, but there can be exceptions also who may suffer from some disorder or genetic problem. However, children can boost their physical strength by spending more time in playing outdoor sports and activities rather than wasting time on playing virtual games on their iPads and laptops. Physical growth is to a certain extent and stops after an age, but intellectual growth can go on forever, it is infinite. Usually after hitting the puberty or teenage period, most of the physical changes in a human body has already occurred and the body has grown to its fullest possible lengths. Although, weight is constant for many healthy people but it is normal to observe fluctuations in it, it is not permanent. On the other hand, height does not increase after the young adult ages which is usually 16-18 years in girls and 18-21 years in boys. Coming back to intellectual capabilities, it can always be enhanced by intelligent reading, researching and by the curiosity to know more. Gaining knowledge is unlimited, we can always learn different and new things throughout our life. I thereby conclude by saying that growing up physically is something temporary and stops after an age, while growing up intellectually is endless, forever till our very last breath. To sum it up all, in my opinion we grow intellectually more than physically.
