MY BEST FRIEND’S HOUSE

Yesterday

 

 It is the place that I think of when I feel like running away from my own house, every time I am frustrated with my folks

It's definitely a safe haven for me, I was sure the people who lived there would take me in, whatsoever. That house was my most trusted ally when I am in trouble. That house had an invincible warm welcome symbol painted all over it for me

Its walls echo the laughter and happiness I shared with my friend and her family. In that house I was scolded for being hesitant for the second serve at meals. That magnificent Grey house had all the warmth in the world.

 

Today

 

The house still stands there, big great magnificent as always but its insides are as cold as ice. It is no more my friends house, the people I loved don't live there to make this place feel warm. It isn't a home anymore, just a house.

Whenever I pass this house now, it fills me with both remorse and joy

My eyes involuntary drat towards the terrace of the house and start searching for my friend. But I just see her mirage

This house is the last link to my best friend

 

Tomorrow

 

It wont be there anymore.

It will be first replaced by piles of dust and rubble and replaced by columns of house,and I will just stand, morning silently  and watch  as a part of my soul preserved in the walls of the house dies as they raze this house down. But as this house falls and my story ends

New stories start as each house will be some ones else's best friend house

But I will be left to be alone at my darkest hour, with only my memories to console me as I lose, the last material link to many memories, I lost my best friend's house.
