This is about being so hard on yourself and not letting go of past things...just continue to breathe and take a leap of faith
As I sit on the carpet floor and look into the sky through the window and trace the raindrops with my fingertips...I see a bird of different colors and patterns which I've never seen before. Flying effortlessly through the rain not giving a care in the world. As I watch this fascinated bird with such admiration...I reminisce on the memories that I hold captive in my mental. I feel as though...life is meaningless with the past, although, I shouldn't dwell on it repeatedly or let it define who I am or was, but living in the present and expecting better for the future is like glazing at the moon and trying to find a lucky star in the night sky only to realize it's untouchable. So I digress and wish upon a thousand stars the serenity and peace that comes along with a peace of mind. I want to roam freely with no worries in the world just like this wonderful bird, but with the luck I have I just might drown instead of fly...
'So I digress and wish upon a thousand stars
the serenity and peace that comes
along with a peace of mind.'
That is such a beautiful statement.
This is a voice of love, a voice of a soul
found, aware of life.
From a slightly distant aspect, this seems like the voice
of one crying out loud in the desert, reminding humanity of the import things,
peace of mind being supreme among them.

Sometimes we need to drown a bit in order to swim and don’t be afraid to fly because when you think you may fall you will fly- positive upwards and onwards- understanding life not always easy but just like the bird we have to go with the wind, beautiful thoughts and words, loved reading🌹

The hopeless feeling really jumps from the page here... my only honest critique is the format. As the reader, some of the imagery felt a bit broken up, not allowing enough time to really take them in before moving to the next idea. All in all, great write!

I'm just a southern girl with a love for writing. I want my readers to be able to relate to my feelings as well as me to theirs. My sister once told me, "it's a blessing to use words to inspire" and w.. more..
