MirrorA Poem by Priscilla Nishi
My enchanting mirror on the wall
I don't mean to break you or let you fall I am annoyed by the fact that you reflect only the others beauty Or maybe it is because they are prettier than me. I yell at you at the top of my voice! Asking you who is the most hideous of them all I wasn't surprised you uttered my name Trust me I do not want complements nor fame. But can you reflect the emotions inside me? Can you understand or can you feel? A girl who values creations is locked within Hidden under the shabby dark skin Or are you aware that her lover is wisdom? Her sweet blood flows in veins of kindness random I bet you can only view me externally But why not the pure soul inside me? I'd love to one day break through that glass And argue for not analysing a genuine lass Oh someone make a mirror for this world! To reflect emotions ,not fake hair nor beard. © 2014 Priscilla NishiAuthor's Note
