Alone

Something I wrote a long time ago.

Soft wind against my face
the sand is soft and smooth as lace.
Walking alone upon the sand
with no one there to hold my hand.
The ocean’s facade before the sun
the day has ended, and so has the fun.
As the sky darkens, and I’m on my way home
there I am, all alone.
