Aching Love

My heart was broken long ago

if I can love I hope to never know

The feeling I felt is empty and shattered

the love I had before left me broken and tattered

The depth of my soul is empty to the core

the scars that I have are deep and sore

I'm left with that feeling of hopefulness and more

aching from the Love I had once before....
