How It Is

How It Is

A Poem by Jeannear
"

life............

"

Everything happens for a reason

the good the bad

Everything happens for a reason

the happy the sad

Everything happens for a reason

the heartache the pain

Everything happens for a reason

so why should you complain?

It is okay to complain than move on. I like the old saying. "All perfect plans fall apart." I like the logic and the purpose for the poem. Better to learn from mistakes and move on. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Probably because it's not always easy to see the reason for things we don't enjoy or like, Jeannear. Life is not easily deciphered - we just have to endure what often seems unbearable. This is a good poem - gives the reader a lot of room to think.

Yes, I suppose we should all try to learn from things that happen too. Good poem and to the point.

thank you so much.....:)
Well, I have a quote in my "say something" box that seems to fit:

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” ― Søren Kierkegaard

You only really know in hindsight what the reasons may have been but the questions aren't always answered.

Nicely done.

So very true! thank you for the comment
That is true.
We don't know what those reasons are but this I know, it will either make us or break us. It's just up to us how to respond to the situation.

Great..keep it up!

that is true....thank you...:)
An uplifting and optimistic write. Indeed, we may not know the reason why something is happening, but often it becomes clear to us much later. Complaining does no one any good. I liked the attitude and the rhyming in this one. Lydi**
