Another Goodbye

Another Goodbye

A Poem by Candy

I swear.
How could pain like this exist?
Trust engulfed with the hardships of goodbye.
Every time I get close, someone has to leave,
and it crushes me every time.
Who am I supposed to call in the middle of the night?
Who am I supposed to make jokes with and laugh until I cry.
Until I cry.
Your laugh contagious like the chicken pox.
Similar actions and reactions,
honestly if it wasn't for our skin tones and our genders,
you would swear to God we were sisters...
Knowing you where right around the corner,
having my back right or wrong, left or right,
and even though I know I can call you,
its not the same, and it never will be.
I forgot how heartbreaking a real friendship could be,
I mean your not gone and I know this isn't goodbye forever,
but it feel like it....

Losses are always painful. The only upside is they can make us stronger.
