In reference to The Rock And Roll Cowboy's poem entitled "Pretty Bird"

 

my name is Amy,

and I am one nutty lady.

I have been through a whole heck of alot.

the man I unfortunately care for

has decided to ridicule and mock me

regarding my service to God-

 

Yes I am a Christian

Yes I speak out in a very unique way

 

I share with many people

I have opened myself up, for better and for worse

I have shown my entire life

my testimony

in hopes of being an inspiration to others.

 

I have so much to share

it's all I got-

 

this last year has been hard

I have struggled with many things

 

yet I find a way to keep going.

 

I just want to say, whoever you may be

don't let anything stop you from what you need to do.

Whatever it is

and by whatever means necessary

I urge you

to carry on

 

You have but one life to live

Live it my friend

Do not change for anyone

Do not bend and do not break

 

Fly, while there's still time-

I agree with legion on this one.
while I don't personally agree with Christianity,
I understand why people choose it...

and can appreciate/respect it when a person believes something and doesn't force it on others.

I think this piece was well spoken, and formatted properly as well.
line breaks in good places and what not.

good fortune to click on this poem.
You have done an excellent job of standing up for yourself.
I have no idea what prompted your story, but that does not matter,
you have made us all, all people who write, you have made us proud.

This is more like it. Perhaps I should have read this first. Strong, but not on the verge of being maniacal. Practical without being too preachy. Well said. Sorry about the one who ridiculed you. Not a very good thing to do.
