Complextion

Complextion

A Poem by John Preston
"

Its about being a senior, what one feels and see's, do not reflect on the out side.

"

A complecxtion i see to please
Gladdens the heart her tease
Could we ever, maybe take of tea
To Cornwall, for their famous cream

Should we walk in the dales
Dip our toes in a stream
Her hair a crown

Fit for a queen

Colours of nature we love, adore
Could we ever or never

Walk through her door

Do you see her smile

Shes not a bore

I'd like to see more

Eyes that sparkle, shine
Alas, the sweet looking lass

Who's made of glass

Yes, handle with care
Fragile -  this lovely lass

Just like a tree

One see's the bark

 Inside its not dark

Its alive just hark

Yes" it tells it's age

Just like my frame
