Turkey

Turkey

A Poem by John Preston

Have you seen the girl from Albuquerque
she’s certainly not a fir tree turkey
Yes one gaggles, but oh so sweet thy cackles
I believe one lives on a farm, so many cattle

I’ve read her words of love, no deceit
Just a normal girl, honest, trusty sweet
Her looks so appealing, not rusty meat

Words actions, enflame desire we admire
In reality, one would never find her in a mire
Iridescent eyes that shine green to blue
So true, reflect calm, peace, happy you

All adamas invincible like a star
Venus who lives near the sun, so far
Absolutely clear and transparent
never fly’s around, like a parent
