Morning/Night

Morning/Night

A Poem by preoccupied
"

The sun and moon, I'll never trust either.

"

I'd like to say I go to sleep knowing that I'm safe
But I'm paranoid and it's keeping me awake
Because I don't know who I am or who I'll be
Or what the waking of tomorrow will bring

Something so bright and beautiful couldn't bring much harm
Except anxiety in crowded school halls
Don't be misguided by the morning's charm
If you do, it could so easily disarm

When the night comes you're not safe either
Questioning thoughts run red lights in your mind
God, I wish I could take a breather
Sun or Moon, what if I choose neither
