                                   Journey by train

I now array my train of thoughts

One of my past journey by train

Aspiring to reach safe and secure

To the most exotic location.

Watching country side pass by

I could only see verdant grass and fields

Not  the thorns of bushes

The streams and lakes

Not the mud that lies beneath.

Why I overlooked the vista?

The narrow gauge sign board at level crossing

Said 'look before you proceed'

Naive was me for I got carried away.

In the passing years for speedy trains

Narrow gauge altered to broad gauge

I now take the journey forward

With the precaution  to gauge my vision broader.

An excellent analogy of life and learning, Prema 🤔

You cause me to pause and think of my own journey through the years, and how true your words reflect so much of what I've been through.
I very much enjoyed your descriptive metaphors of your own experiences as you traveled the rails of growing and learning along the way, seeing, missing, cautiously proceeding, finally, with greater vision and wiser choices.
