Man's playA Poem by prema Man's play Nature's course of action is undefinable Going against nature is like killing slowly To put to test its endurance is the height Of man's play towards himself and nature. Manipulating vital discoveries And using for selfish motives Or for just destruction--when this happens Status of him is to unscrupulous beast. When savageness of beast awake in men Coupling with technology at his disposal The havoc it plays and its repercussion Already we're witnessing, few realises it. Men unlike beast take things for granted He views everything as his birthright The game he plays with his mind and matter Is like a toddler playing with building blocks. Intelligence with power gains access To all above and under the sky If not cautious, the depth of fall Would be as pathetic as of Icarus. © 2020 prema |
