LOVE

LOVE

A Poem by prema

                             LOVE
Love that flows not
Is like stagnant water
Unpreferable elements it does breed
Not to speak of the odor'
Once it flows --
It lends music to ears , beauty to eyes
Gains a rhythm to bring peace
Become pure to quench one's thirst
Even the hardest stone is 'touched'
For it become a smooth pebble
Yes, love is like water
So transparent that one can see through.

Love that is untold is like
Music in an un-blown flute
Flute with dust coated
Waiting for a hand to wipe and mouth to blow
Once blown different tunes come out
Varying tunes , even the cacophony
All generate the same feeling in listener
For love reciprocates love.
Those who hesitate to pick up the flute
Himself get coated with dust
Until someone blows that away
Love , the music is lost in them.
