My Pain

My Pain

A Poem by prema
"

Yoga nidra -Yogic slumber I can hardly call this as a poem ,but it is my pain anyway

"
Though born in God's own country
Where He poses in Yoga nidra
I am destined to have my share of pain
The pain of mind's wakefulness

It's also a land of backwaters
The held back water influence its people
I for one have the spirit to match
Gushing waterfalls, another feature of land

My own mind is the cause of misery
Knowing me well one rich sadist
Bought a poor man as husband
Promptly took place the wedding with treachery as base

My love for nature the sadist knows
Our home was set in a place
Where there is no dearth of bounty
To crown all it"s rich in culture too

Before I took the reins of new life
Sadist dictated my life, me unaware
With the lightness a director direct a movie
My life got squeezed like that in celluloid frames

Though sadist, he had a flair
To see that something in me
He knew what he couldn't have
So from far he got vicariously

He then had a gala time
For he could read my mind
He got nourished in nature and culture
At the cost of a paltry sum to husband

He grew tall to become a poet
He sang praises of love and nature
That could draw all and sundry to him
Even the husband, only I was left out

Though locked inside home
Mind could drift to lands of choice
Leaving body limp and numb
It's also tied to other pressures

The pain of loneliness and longiness
One needs to live in that to know
Miles away I yearned for my Lord
He who does pretentious(?) sleep

Mind in its wakefulness
Longs for  that fulfillment
After a slumber what it missed
Comes back as a lingering pain

Isn't it wakeful time for Him
To comfort me and confront the sadist
Me who treats myself as His daughter
Mind then rest in peace.
