Sincerely Saint Nick

Sincerely Saint Nick

A Poem by predictablepoets
"

A Christmas Tale

"
Watching the fire one winter night,
I prepared my spirits for a frigid flight.
As I put on my boots and readied to start,
I couldn’t help feeling good cheer in my heart.
For kindness needs rewarding; if only a day,
And so into the winds I flew with my sleigh.

Now some might say that my job is rough,
But I don’t think it’s all that tough,
Compared to those who try real hard,
To stretch out good an extra yard.
This night is theirs to always enjoy,
With something fun like a doll or toy.

It tickles my belly and fills it with glee,
When I leave presents under a good child’s tree.
So thank you to those whom are gentle within,
And for those who aren’t, its time to begin.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and give you applause,
Sincerely Jolly Saint Nick, Your Santa Clause.

I love the flow in this poem, and also the first time I've read about Santa Claus from his point of view, and it wasn't childish at all. This is something that should be found on a Christmas post card or just a Christmas card. I really liked it. Thanks for sharing it here.
