A BEDBUG GIVES THANKS

A BEDBUG GIVES THANKS

A Poem by prashant

I AM A CHILD OF UNIVERSE

CLAIMED THE BUG

AS HE CRAWLED OUT OF WOODWORK.

I HAVE EVERY RIGHT

TO BE A BLIGHT.

TO INFINITE INTELLIGENCE I OWE

MY PLACE-

CHIEF PEST

UPON THE HUMAN RACE!

I AM HERE TO SAY-

TO FEAST UPON THEIR DELICATE DISPLAY,

THOSE LUSCIOUS THIGHS,

THOSE NOOKS AND CRANNIES

WHERE THE BLOOD RUNS SWEET.

NO, NO, I DON'T DESPISE

THESE CREATURES MADE FOR MY DELIGHT.

A KIND CREATOR HAD MY NEEDS IN MIND....

I THANK YOU, LORD, FOR HUMAN KIND.

Perhaps, use the word "the" in some parts. It helps, trust me. Otherwise, your grammar was pretty good. In my humble opinion, this poem felt somehow darker than I expected. Though it felt like it was also a work of peace. Whichever way you meant it, I'm glad you wrote it. Though I notice you don't have much of your writing posted. If these poems were your very first, you should definitely continue writing. If they weren't, you have still progressed a lot. Keep digging those thoughts up, and I will keep reading them. Send me a read request anytime.
