CONCLUSIONA Chapter by Pras RamLike all good things in life... this trip starts another one! Before I conclude, I would like to refer to a story from Hindu Mythology. The story goes like this…. “Once upon a time, there was a Guru who had two disciples. He called one disciple and asked him to travel around the country and find one bad person. He called the other disciple and asked him to find one good person. After a while, both the disciples came back empty-handed. One replied that he couldn’t find any bad person and the other replied he couldn’t find any good person.” I refer to this story because you only see what you choose to see. If we can train ourselves to see beyond the prejudictions and mental blocks, which have been imprinted in our minds due to our upbringing and circumstances, we can see that the world has a lot more to offer. The offerings are good as well as bad and it is upto you to make the choice. If we can open our minds and see the world without any cultural screens, we can see the real beauty of things. This particular trip is a very important stage of the transition I am going through. If I see something new, I don’t compare it with things back home. I don’t try to compare the cultural differences. I try to see things as they are, which gives me a completely new perspective. I am in a better position to appreciate the beauty of things and respect nature more. I have started enjoying every meal, every moment of my life. Appreciate the natural beauty around you which you tend to miss because you are too busy with career, ambitions etc., I realize that I have never thanked my mom for what she had done for me and her excellent cooking. I would like to thank my family and friends, Gab & Joan, Mrs.Nalini Robertson & family, Dr.Palan & Family, Steve, Lew, David, Subra, Raj & his parents and all those wonderful people I have met. They all had something to offer to me. I am not sure whether I will be able to repay their kindness. For time being, I can only give them my heartfelt gratitude. Let me also take this opportunity to apologize if you were inconvenienced because of my actions or words. I realize that I have more choices for every problem " not just materialistic solutions. I have promised myself that once I have enough money, I’ll take 2-5 years to travel around the world. I have used the word “REALIZED” in a lot of places in this chapter. This ofcourse has been a voyage towards self-realization. I have realized a lot of things, which I didn’t even think existed. I realized that the world has so much to offer which we tend to miss because of our pre-occupations. The world is full of knowledge and it is entirely upto me to go and get it. I am sure I’ll get it and shall share it with you. Remember…. This is not the End, just the beginning…
