Running Alone

Running Alone

A Poem by melissa2345

Running along the field,
The wind blowing swiftly past my cold face--
I am running to a sacred place,
Where the cold waters do not flow,
To where there is no war at all.
Within my mind I see the hope,
Of generations after me,
I run to seek out what will happen.

To see if we have failed.
Failed in time, failed with what time we have.
To teach our children right from wrong,
To show them unconditional love.
No matter their
DNA and ability to love anyone for who they are.

I wish this world could be left untouched.
I dream for the day where the children of time can dream freely and live out their dreams
Of peace and hope and sustainability.

I hope.
Till the end of time.
Where the cold water does not flow.

Hi..not a bad poem at all...the format does not really make sense to me and it lacks a few vivid words to paint a picture but still well written. keep at it
