Flashbacks

Flashbacks

A Poem by Pranali

The strength to confront the vast
yield to the glowing past
in memories sounded
I sensed unbounded

A glow in morning's light
windows of solitude open me
to the craving of lost time
pleasures intricate woven in me
Shadowing the present's pain
i take a trip down memory lane

Whilst i relived the past
i sought your smile.. your heart
Unspoken words
meant much more in thoughts ..
Engrossed, mesmerized
quietly the image unlocks from
a little rosewood box …that sleeps
deep in my chest is the pain I keep

I know it'll open me again and again
Like thoughts my emotions are stained
so hovering and towering
...in flashbacks I remain.
