Bearing the gift of sleep on my wide wings comforting a young one's heart's strings narrating strange stories from the islands of wallabies I am called a berceuse ,a cradle song and a lullaby.
Like a beautiful stitch woven on a tender cloth like yards of silk produced by moths I grow from a mother's love forming a musical note for the baby beloved.
I find my way into hearts softly, melodiously I glide and dart showering beads of peace in total chaos I gently caress the feelings of adult pathos.
I am the want of every distraught mortal battling hitches at life's every portal embodiment of the love of a mother I give life to the soul smothered.
Miss Prajakta, your poem 'I am a Lullaby!' is the first poem of yours I have read and I like it! It's a really sweet word play that fits perfectly into a lullaby. I especially like the 15th line, "embodiment of the love of a mother," as it takes me back to my own childhood, listening to my Mama. She was a gentle lullaby singer to her children, as I wish every mother with child could be. Thank you for sharing.
