Riding the wave

Riding the wave

A Poem by Pragya
"

In this age of information overload, you hear so much from so many that disturb your bearings...

"
They say you can manifest a world
Through the power of thoughts,
They say you can create from nothing
And undo all the sticky knots.

They say this time too shall pass
Leaving back lessons that may last,
They say today is the price you pay
For the actions of your past.

They say a change was destined
For we have ignored warnings aplenty,
They also say take this as a gift of time
Smile, accept your life in a modus vivendi.

They say time's best companion is mind
With each passing second, it takes you places,
They say you can do so much more now
Look at everyone's Instagram showcases.

They say be positive, look at the bright side
Things will change, a new dawn will arise,
They say things that have so much depth
Fact is boredom is taking wisdom's disguise.

I say concern yourself with the basics
Hygiene, health and mindfulness,
Isay nothing more as they say so much
Remember, 2 ears 1 mouth and off you go.

I have long wondered who "they" were. As long as I can recall, "they" have always been saying something. "They" seem to know it all, will keep continuing to know it all and commenting on it. I know only one thing: I wish "they" would shut the f**k up.
