Conquering Fear

Conquering Fear

A Poem by Pradipna Lodh
"

Fear cannot withstand longer infront of me, I can overcome it with the dent of my bravery

"

I have buried fear, deep inside the ground

It will rest in peace without any doubt

In the graveyard of my mind

There are still unfilled boxes of terror

They are yet to be dumped

I will bury them, once I taste triumph

The candle of hope in me

Is the dope, that illuminates the brave soul

It’s the greatest truth of life

That motivates me to walk ahead with pride

I am a vagabond in search of a stair

Climbing on which, I can reach for the stars

Fear is just an illusion

At times, it cripples my mind with destitution

But, its sheer existence strengthens my willpower

Nudges me to double my efforts

For it’s a catalyst of some sort

That brings the best in me with sweet rewards

It’s the messiah of insinuation

It’s the stumbling block to evolution

The narcissist of negative emotion

I don’t fear fear anymore

I have the audacity to inspire fear

Of not perturbing me with its fake sear
