Cheers to my Solitude

Cheers to my Solitude

A Poem by Deepankar

Half full glass of whiskey stares at me
Asking me why am I drinking her with such solemnity
I wonder and wander with my thoughts
Flashes and lightnings strike my inner core
Yet I try to rub it with my soul
I know it is the whiskey that is penning me down
Regurgitating my lost glory and its days
Yet all I could find is pain and vain
I stare back at it,
And find myself all alone
Lifting it up high as if in glory
I cry out loud "Cheers to my Solitude.
"
