FreedomA Poem by Prabhudas SajeevUltimate freedom from slavery....
Among the chained slaves lying in pain
we all were begging freedom in vain. We were tired and with an aching head, for long, we wanted a piece of bread. Lying as we were in deep worry however no one felt for us a sorry. They laughed seeing our pity, as we were to be sold in the city. We were sailing, through the vast, calm sea when my masters sat eating their pea. We were also tired and also most hungry but all we could do was just to give a bitter cry. Soon the weather changed its peaceful form and there came blowing a fierceful storm. And then our ship sank to the ocean bottom where we were released forever to freedom. © 2014 Prabhudas Sajeev |
