In My Dreams

i wrote this about my best friend.not a day goes by i dont miss him.

i saw you in my dreams.

i felt such joy just to have you in my sight.

its been so long since i saw that smile

or looked into those deep,flawless eyes.

 

i spoke with you in my dreams.

you told me things i've longed to hear.

your laughter wrapped me in warmth

as you reassured me of my strength.

 

i felt you in my dreams.

i had almost forgot the safety of your arms.

there will never be another

to show so much love in a simple hug.

 

i wanted to stay in my dreams.

so i wouldnt have to say farewell to you again.

but i could sleep no longer and woke up asking

why it was you that had to go.
