I am not the girl that I once was.

I'm not the girl in which you fell in love.

If I could I’d change that all

Go back to the days when you knew me

When you knew what I would need

But alas that can not happen

Time has changed things drastically

And I am sorry

I never meant for this to happen

I’d kill for you to see the girl that used to be me

I’d love to look into your eyes with my childish naiveté

And only see the boy that I loved loving me

But I can do that no longer

For though the man is still like the boy

I now see the confusion in your eyes

As you fail to recognize the woman that is now me

I apologize

I wish things could stay the same-

That we could love again without the pain-

But I must be realistic.

I am not the girl that I once was

I'm not the girl in which you fell in love.
