For Freedom...A Poem by Poetic NuanceWe live. Sure. But are we free?So tired of being human, Of living upto expectations, Not being with Nature, one Weaving life through many frustrations. A human falls on Earth, born free For a moment, till society intervenes, Chained then on by social decree, Joy of living, slowly the world weans. Rather a feathered one in the open sky Or a four legged, running in the wood, A short life, lived in glory And pay all dues in blood. Not this wasteful life of slow death, Of men sowing hatred among men, Covering lies with a smiling sheath, Cloaking hell with promises of heaven. Battered Soul now craves freedom, From thoughts fettered by mediocre, To suckle again at the Green Mother's bosom, And merge into the elements, forever.
