Love at First SightA Poem by Poetic NuanceThat moment of euphoria when the first rush of love hits the heart. Was it the whiff of your perfume, As you laughingly passed me?
Or the twinkle in your eye, As you fleetingly looked at me? Was in the tinkling of your voice, And your smile without a care? Was it your innate playfulness, As you tucked an erring lock of hair? Was it the curve of your graceful neck, As you turned to look at me again? Or the sly smile playing on your lips, Raising hope, that mind can't seem to rein? Is this what it means to fall in love? Being slave to a moment of joy, when eyes meet? Have mercy on me, dear heavens above Feels like running towards doom, with grateful feet. © 2014 Poetic NuanceAuthor's Note
