Ah, Winter

Ah, Winter

A Poem by Poetic Nuance
"

Ideal weather for pain.

"
Ah, Winter!
Cold that constricts
Breath like tiny needles pricking your very being,
And darkness that pales in the shadow over my heart.
Ah, Winter! You Abomination,
Perfect for grief,
When the bright sun of happiness is forever hidden,
By overcast skies of dismay.
Ah, Winter! You Plunderer,
Gloomy, shining whiteness,
Reflecting away from the core, smallest rays of hope,
Your colour so pure, an irony.
Ah Winter! You Grim Reaper,
Leaving death in your wake,
Even the tiniest sprout of life whittled mercilessly,
No grounds for hope in your iciness.
Ah, Winter! You Desolation,
Loneliness your nature,
Crushing pain in the heart needs your numbing chill,
Suffering is what makes life worth living.
Ah, Winter! My Friend...

Wonderful! It described winter just the way I see it and I loved it! Keep on writing!
