The Brook

The Brook

A Poem by Poetic Nuance
"

About the lessons in life that nature can teach us.

"

How mellifluously does the brook flow.
The sound of tinkling water,
That sets the heart aglow.

Its winding run would seem to fill,
With joy in a desolate land;
As it rushes downhill.

Running deep, running hard,
Twisting and turning,
Across the sun-parched land.

Wooing all creatures in its sway,
With the promise of life,
Its sweet flow essay.

My mind would be one with the brook.
To be in its flow;
As every turn it took.

To run around the hardships in it's way,
Keep bustling ahead unmindful,
And not let it fray.

And finally at the journey's end,
Into that ocean of love,
Ascend.
