Datura

Datura

A Poem by powerandstars
"

about a flower and me

"
I am in love with a flower
And she is named Datura
She is as sweet as honey and as deceptive as a snake
I love every part of her the good and bad.

She throws me into a endless storm of deadly hallucinations and love
oh to be burrowed in her love as she whispers lies of promise that isn't there
I say I don't want to be friends but to be lovers.

So she nods her head with a glimmer in her eyes
There is no hint of darkness on the outside just white petals that mask her deadly allure
and I know if I continue to love her she will one-day kill me with her duality
Oh but to be consumed by her is a dream that shall one-day flourish into reality.
