Midnight Shows

Midnight Shows

A Poem by Lucia Morgan

The fan, whirring,
Endlessly.
The dimly lit spotlight, pointed in my direction,
And i think,
Why,
In god's name,
Am I here?
But I step out, anyway,
Why the hell not, and, honestly,
Who wouldn't take the plunge
For the midnight show?
