No Mistakes

No Mistakes

A Poem by Jasmine Smith

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father.

We are the clay, you are the potter:

We are all the work of your hand.”

First a thought

Just as a potter thinks of His next masterpiece

God was thinking of you

How great you would turn out in the end

A beautiful picture He could see

Carefully choosing where you may come from

No mistakes

The strongest coming from the worst

Knowing you could endure

What He was going to allow you to go through

Involved from the beginning

With His hands He spent nine months in your mother’s womb

Forming you and shaping you

Creating your main features

No mistakes

Creating your strengths

Forming your weaknesses and flaws

For them you would have to rely on Him

Breathing His breath into you

For you are breathing Him

His life

He is in you and forever will be

Preparing you for what is to come

Creating you to be able to persevere through what is to come

Even after birth He is not done

Allowing situations from here and there to come to you

Molding you into the masterpiece you will be one day

Strengthening you with each problem

Strengthening your trust in Him

Shaving off what you have managing to cape up in your life

Chiseling off what is not meant to be

Smoothing down with His hands what is meant to be

No mistakes

Everything for something

Nothing for nothing

Meant to be

His image

Not done yet

For in the end

His masterpiece

The work of His hands

He will use you

He uses His masterpieces to show others

How great they can be

How he is not done with them yet

No mistakes

You will be a masterpiece

You will be great

You were created by an artist

The greatest artist of all time

Molding you into a work of art

He is creating a self portrait

An astounding picture of love

No mistakes in your life
