The Gift of Altered Being Without Chemicals, a collectionA Poem by Kristine Stewartcontinuation of short nonsensical poetry
You Never Know Clover doesn't rhyme with Labrador Retriever no...no... and it doesn't rhyme with Venus either no...no... So I'll sit and wait for the right word to come my way Will I hear it echoing through the hall or read it on my tray? Well folks here I go You never know You never know Life in Idaho Steve Harris has 32 kids and 11 on the way He spends his time driving a truck 24 hours a day He has two brothers: Fred and Joe He has two sisters: Fred and Joe They live somewhere in Idaho and they like it this way So what can you say? Boomerang Fish I rode through the air on the back of a giant silver fish Then it turned around and came back to me "we just don't care about boomerang fish" she said wryly "we just don't care" Air Ambulance They say we have no ocean now... just a light breeze It makes me nervous The air ambulance is going my way through the desert today Hey, you... you know what I need so keep your voice down I'm trying to breath You tear me up You really do So let the air ambulance come on through Digital Grandfather Clocks I wonder if you're one of those notorious wimps with a background Wanted: for smuggling digital grandfather clocks into Mexico's underground I guess you can be just about anyone at all I'll never really know for sure You left on the #28 bus now you'll always be obscure
