Which came first: Philosophy or Heartbreak?

A Poem by A Pseudo-Deep Nihilist
"

I actually enjoy Nietzsche's work- this poem was just something fun to work on.

"
“The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

However- the same man who coined the phrase
that edgy kids quote, unknowing of the source;
Yes, Nietzsche, would be quick to disagree.

Yet Nietzsche himself hath* loved little more than a harlot*.
And, consequently, stumbled along a path of disdain.

Proclaiming to the world:
GOD IS DEAD!

Could it be, dear Friedrich, that bitterness hath* tainted your outlook?
Could it be, that you rue Paul Ree’s endearment for dear Salome?

I only wish you the pleasure of love-
nihilism be damned.
Yet you play as if it is the last thing in the world you’d desire:

“You go to women? Do not forget the whip!"

How petty! How childish!
O*, my dear, please lead me to a conclusion-
an explanation for your spite-
beyond your rumored death of syphilis!
