Frappes and Coke

Frappes and Coke

A Poem by spaace
"

Goodness, we are different.. I wouldn't call it a crush but I have become enamored by you and well that kind of sucks.

"

Time flies as her smile become mine

Or maybe we have become each others over time

She pays the check without a blink from her eyes

I can’t help but remind myself that I’ll never be this kind

I’m sure she will not remember this in more than a week

While in my mind it will stay fresh

It is unique

I laugh with her

I play with her

But I never forget that whatever I am with her

I can never just be me

We sip our frappes

I really wanted a Coke

I seek refuge in the smell of the outside smoke

The Starbucks that we spoke in consumed with her scent

I know that for me it is not meant

And yet here we sit, just passing the time

Us two sipping our frappes

Heedless to my silent cries

People are different, everyone is different, and that is really frustrating at times.
Have some of my teenage angst.
Also isn't it ironic that I'm posting this on writerscafe? Thumbs up to everyone who gets it.

This poem spoke to me of unrequited love, so difficult to sit and watch and be ignored
