wishful forgiveness

wishful forgiveness

A Poem by bittersweet

I played your words over and over in my head
like an endless tape where all my urges bled
your eyes were wild with a biting storm that grew
you stood still, warily with guilt anew.

Wish i could hold you, tell you we were good
maybe then i wouldn't suffer to see you nude,
of life ..of your humanly self.

I searched in you,looked hard
saw nothing but precious love
how could i have said i didn't have the heart.
to forgive you and not grow apart.
With a sad smile you came close, you didn't want to let go
you said words that caressed my soul
"one day dear, we shall not be foes".
