why does it make you close to her,yet so far?

who abhorred you,laid bare her devil

damned to see her with another man.

your bloodstained hands trembling with hurtful disgust

wanting to have revenge on her...

but I was there to stop you,sing you to peace

I like this. I interpreted it as a couple breaking up maybe and one of them hurt the other. I am guessing that the girl broke up with the guy and hurt him so much. He wants revenge on her for destroying his world and hopes. That is usually the outcome of a nasty break-up honestly. There were so many times I wanted to get back at some of my exes. I love this line:

"why does it make you close to her, yet so far?" ---That is so true in a breakup. You feel even more attached the person after they leave and then again there's a part of you that doesn't want anything to do with them.

The main thing to me about this is that you are trying to say to this guy to keep a clean soul for God. That is the main concept I got from it. Maybe that isn't even close. I tried :D Great write.
