We waltz beneath the velvet veils
Of skies through which our laughter sails
Entranced by false ideals and lies
We sing each other with our eyes,
Desires merge into demands
Our bodies grab our starving hands
As dripping lips lick tender tongues
To the hastening cadence of our lungs.
Within this moment we exist
Immune to transient desist
Two atoms yearning to collide
Exposing mysteries inside.
The climax of our love gains fast
To soon be chiseled into past
The snarling storm clouds flash in strife
Two silhouettes through fogs of life.
Can moments make our lives worthwhile?
Or just nostalgically beguile?
In vain I struggle to decide
Do I miss then, or you tonight?
Some say as death engulfs the skies
Our lives shall dance before our eyes
What bitter sweetness it will be
To then once more be loved by thee.
