A Lonesome Walk
A Poem by
Rajarshi
Mixed happiness..
I’ve walked down barren shores Watching streaks of moonlight sail the swelling waves, with murky waters breathing at my feet and a chilling breeze sighing in my ear. So we sighed as one. I have walked down myriad paths through many scented autumns, And watched the looming trees weep their crimson leaves, So we wept together. I have pressed my body close to the mighty spinning earth, Caressing her damp skin, Brushing her green hair Listening to her heartbeat pound in tune with mine. I’ve gazed into the endless voids of night, At every sparkling shard of every distant sun, and heard the silence softly whisper. And never have I felt so alone and yet so alive.

Favourite lines: I have pressed my body close to the mighty spinning earth... There's a wonderful sense of connectivity in this poem.
