School

School

A Poem by Kelly Taylor
"

Just a short silly poem.

"

Homework and classrooms and teachers, oh my

Silently screaming as time ticks on by

The pressure of being the perfect kid

Teachers yelling at me, but I don’t know what I did!

All work and no play, it’s all just a mess

And more work each night gets me pretty stressed

The bell always rings at 3:42

And every kid leaves the room with a, “Whew!”

Because now that our school is done for today,

We can all go home " no worries, but play

But then the next morning, the cycle stays strong

We get on the bus and the day rolls along…

As someone who is getting prepared to go back to school on Monday I love this poem and agree with it completely. Nicely written

I really like it and I think is has good potential and it is exactly what a school kid would do. I also like the first line and how you got it from the wizard of oz.
