Fallen AngelA Poem by Kaitlyn DanielleThere's not much to say about this one...enjoy? There she stands, In a blackened robe, Her wings hand limp on either side. My angel. She crises out for her other, Tears stream down her white face, As she sinks to her knees in silent grief. My angel. Blackness surrounds her, She tries to escape, The blind fall. My angel. She fell blindly in love. Causing her to turn her back On the world. My angel. She tries to save herself. By stretching out her broken wings. They all laugh at her attempts. My angel. She closes her eyes And hopes for the end. Tears escape from her eyes as she falls. My angel. Her limp wings are black as night, Her robe hangs loose off her bones. Her eyes see no more. My angel. Her screams deaden as she falls. She comes to realize That’s it useless to fight. My angel. She gives herself up to the fall. As she stretches out her wings, To prove that she still is My angel. She opens her eyes And looks upon this world, This is her fate. My angel. She falls silently to the ground. She can’t escape, she closes her eyes. As her feet touch the ground. My angel. There she stands, Tears in her eyes. Her wings hang limp on either side. My fallen angel. © 2011 Kaitlyn Danielle |
