Monotonous Life

Monotonous Life

A Poem by Kayla
"

The prompt for this was to use sound and onomatopoeia

"

waking

yawning

shuffling

chewing

brushing

gasping

at the clock,

for it has betrayed you again.

rushing

out the door,

your mind

whirring,

hoping to be on time.

heavy

dragging

your feet through the halls

struggling

to stay awake

arriving

thumping

your backpack in haste on the floor

flipping

through pages

rapidly

studying

shuffling

brushing

yawning

snoring

repeat.
