Dream Crushers

Dream Crushers

A Poem by Julie Beth
"

wrote this in science class

"

Imagination sucked from them

when they're young

they take away all you're fun

They walk around and crush your dream

no matter how happy or big

they may seem

because it brings them joy

to disappoint every little girl and boy

Your dreams are sacred

but only to you

according to them

it's just like the flu

So hold your dreams

keep them close

before they give you a heavy dose

of the dreamless world
