In Her World

In Her World

A Poem by Julie Beth
"

this is one of my favorite poems i wrote

"

In her world

she stands on the iceberg

as it floats

on the calm water

when she looks up

she sees a full moon

along with the northern lights

in the Winter

In her world

she sits in a field

surrounded by beautiful flowers

that never die

when she looks around

she sees beautiful green trees

along with the perfect shade of green grass

in the Spring

In her world

she lays down on the beach alone,

on sand that is neither hot nor cold

comforted by the sound and smell

when she looks forward

she sees the calm waves crashing on the shore

in the Summer

In her world

she walks on an empty path

as she looks around

she sees different colored leaves

blowing gently in the air

along with some naked trees

in Autumn

In her world

she will find

peace, love, happiness, and sanity

In her world

she will escape

the sadness,

the madness,

and be herself

Though she may

not live forever

on Earth,

In her world

she will never die...

This was a really great poem. I love all the scenarios you came up with, each unique and equally gripping! They had lovely descriptions, I especially loved the one about the Northern Lights. Where I live I get to see the Northern lights and let me tell you they are spectacular! lol
I think this poem had a lot more to it! This "world" maybe was it her imagination, or where she dreams she really was?
Hmm, a very thought provoking poetry! I am going to subscribe to you!

This was an interesting piece, Julie. I enjoyed it. It has a really nice feeling of peace and tranquility, but seems to have loneliness and melancholy at its core. Really nicely done, my dear!
