The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by Julie Beth
"

dont really know if i can discribe it

"

home alone

sitting at the window

watching

listening

the rains coming down hard

thunder starts to rumble

lighting starts to flash

this is the night

i've been waiting for

the storm is here

I love thunder and lightning. so powerful and awesome. This speaks to me of expectancy of those who are ready and willing to risk watching.

"Home alone" experiencing a storm. Makes me think of a transitional period in a persons life. Facing and experiencing a storm alone. Maybe from a distance or through "the window" but still an anticipated or exciting experience they've "been waiting for".
I see a part two to this poem. Somthing like: I step outside the safety of home, and into the storm-- I've been waiting for this day.
