My Pumpkin

My Pumpkin

A Poem by Julie Beth
"

this may be the worst poem ever but i thought it was cute

"

My favorite part of Autumn

is watching the leaves

change color

but the leaves have

yet to change

other than the cold weather

your are the only sign i have of Autumn

with your stem bigger than

your circular

orange body

your so tiny

compaired to all the other pumpkins

nobody wanted you but

i had to have you

now as you sit there on my nightstand

i drift off to sleep

while looking at

the tiny and cute orange thing

i call

my pumpkin

It's definitely not your worst poem! It's so cute! I love baby pumpkins! In autumn, my friends and I would take a small pumpkin and paint them however we like! You should try it sometime.. it's fun! And don't think it's awful... because it's not!!

I like it. You had no pretentious notions of abstract artistic dribble; you went for what you were feeling and you nailed it. Good job. =)

I loved the sweet feel of this write. The sense that the season is changing, and here is your present reward of that time. Pumpkins are so festive and fun!
