Ceasefire

A Poem by poison&kerosene
"

Hello guys, I know this is not one of my best but I have recently moved across the country alone and I need to find an outlet.

"

Perhaps you and I shall bury the hatchet

How long has it been since we have shared a laugh?

Walked alongside one another in tranquility?

We carve into each other with serrated edges

Infecting our self-worth, desecrating happiness

In the end we have nothing to show for this battle

No victories won on either side

It is just you and I and it will always be that way

So, I raise my glass to you, my dear reflection

May we call a truce and learn to live with one another

is that your image cause i like it:) not the one in the mirror mind you... i'm not getting fresh! I have socks older than you LOL I lived with a lot of self hate over the years for many reasons none of which ever held any merit but I was blissfully unaware of the blisters for a very long time:( it is so easy to get caught in that refraction but I have a new pair of spectacles now and I see things differently:) hope you do too. and I think this is clever regardless of your statement of it being not your best:)
